Marketing Coordinator
Sydney, NSW

About Us

Mad Mex is focused on one thing, making and sharing the world's best burrito by being the Most Loved and Respected Mexican Food Brand. With over 70 Restaurants across Australia (and an epic growth pipeline), we’re driven by our passion to share the food and culture of Mexico with our customers every day.

About the role

Brand, Product & Local Area Marketing (LAM)

The Marketing Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the Senior Marketing Manager across all brand, product, and Local Area Marketing (LAM) initiatives. You will help shape and execute marketing strategies that drive brand growth, promote products, and enhance local engagement across our franchise network. This role directly impacts the success of our franchise partners by ensuring that all marketing efforts, from local store campaigns to national campaigns, are cohesive, impactful, and aligned with the Mad Mex brand.

This role requires a proactive, organised, and creative individual who is eager to support both digital and traditional marketing efforts. You will work closely with internal teams, external partners, and franchisees to help ensure seamless execution of campaigns and initiatives. This position is ideal for someone with a passion for marketing, an eye for detail, and a desire to grow their skills in a fast-paced environment.

To crush it in this role, you’ll:

Brand & Product Marketing

  • Team up with our Senior Marketing Manager to create campaigns that keep Mad Mex at the top of everyone’s cravings list. You’ll make sure our messaging is consistent and spicy across every platform—from our restaurants to social media and everything in between.
  • Manage the usual suspects: POS assets, social media content, CRM, print, and paid media.
  • Be the social media guru: managing accounts, overseeing investments, creating content, and analysing performance. Extra points if you can drop a meme or two.

Social Media Mastery

  • Develop, execute, and monitor social media strategies that make people crave burritos at 3 p.m. on a Tuesday.
  • Keep our content calendar as tight as a perfectly wrapped burrito.
  • Track campaign performance and keep us at the top of the social game.
  • Stay on-brand and on-trend, while watching what the competition’s up to. Let’s stay saucy!

Local Area Marketing (LAM)

  • Own the LAM game by helping franchisees promote their restaurants locally. You’ll plan grand openings that make a splash, from running the local campaigns to handling the all-important back-end setup (yes, we mean digital listings and making sure people can find us!).
  • Be the go-to for all things LAM: managing daily requests from franchisees, business managers, and our ops team.

Stakeholder Schmoozing

  • Work your charm with franchise partners, the ops team, and external suppliers to get stuff done. Your people skills will be your secret sauce.

Print Distribution & Admin Magic

  • Help the marketing team with admin tasks (like invoice management and customer inquiries), and make sure all print materials are distributed to our network across Australia, faster than you can say “extra spicy salsa.”

Skills & Experience

  • You’ve got a formal education or certifications in marketing (or a related field), and ideally, some experience working in a QSR (Quick Service Restaurant), retail, or agency environment.
  • You know how to execute marketing campaigns and are a whiz at juggling different tasks.
  • You’ve got a solid grasp of digital marketing strategies and retail communication channels.
  • You thrive in fast-moving environments, have top-notch communication skills, and love to work as part of a team.
  • Your organisational skills are as sharp as our hottest jalapeños!

Extra Guac? Yes, Please!

  • 2+ years of marketing experience (especially with social media and brand).
  • Experience in a retail environment and familiarity with running digital campaigns.
  • A genuine love for food and retail, because who doesn’t love a good burrito?
