About The Role

 

Brand, Product & Local Area Marketing (LAM)

 

We’re looking for someone who can:

  • Create content people actually want to watch
  • Make Mad Mex famous in local communities
  • Drive real commercial impact for restaurants

You’ll own the intersection of social content + local area marketing (LAM) — turning national campaigns into local hype, and local moments into brand heat.

 

If you’re equal parts creative, scrappy, and commercially switched on, this is your role.

 

 

To Crush it in this Role, you’ll:

 

1. Content That Cuts Through (Not Just Fills Feeds)

  • Create, shoot, and produce high-performing social content (TikTok, IG, Reels)
  • Jump on trends fast — but make them distinctly Mad Mex
  • Bring campaigns like Pollo Diablo, Fries, Luchador to life in a way that feels raw, real, and shareable
  • Work with influencers and creators to amplify reach (not just vanity metrics)
  • Build a content engine that drives engagement → traffic → transactions

The goal: If it doesn’t make someone stop scrolling, it doesn’t go out.

 

2. Own Local Area Marketing (LAM) Like a Weapon

  • Turn every restaurant into a local powerhouse
  • Develop and execute tailored local marketing plans (not cookie-cutter templates)
  • Launch new restaurants with impact — think hype, queues, community buzz
  • Support franchisees with practical, high-impact marketing that drives sales
  • Identify and scale what works across the network

The goal: every Mad Mex feels like the spot in its area.

 

3. Bridge Brand → Restaurant Reality

  • Translate national campaigns into local execution that actually lands
  • Ensure consistency, but allow for local creativity and relevance
  • Work closely with Ops, Franchisees, and Suppliers to bring ideas to life fast

4. Be Close to the Numbers (This Role Drives Revenue)

  • Track performance across:
    •  Social engagement & reach
    • Store-level sales uplift
    • Campaign ROI
  • Continuously optimise — double down on what works, kill what doesn’t

The goal: Creativity is expected. Commercial impact is non-negotiable.

 

 

Who You Are

 

You’re not a traditional marketer. You’re probably:

  • The person who films, edits, and posts content yourself
  • The one who spots trends early and knows how to twist them
  • Someone who gets energy from fast-paced, slightly chaotic environments
  • Obsessed with what makes people actually care, click, and buy

 

What You Bring

  • 2–4 years experience in social, content, or marketing
  • Proven ability to create content that performs (not just looks good)
  • Experience in retail, QSR, or multi-location businesses = a big plus
  • Strong understanding of TikTok / Instagram / short-form video
  • Comfortable being hands-on: shooting, editing, writing, posting
  • Ability to manage stakeholders (franchisees, ops, agencies) without losing momentum
  • Commercial mindset — you understand that marketing = growth

 

Bonus Points (Extra Guac)

  • You’ve built or grown a social account before
  • You’ve worked with creators or influencers
  • You understand local marketing and community-building
  • You’ve worked in food, retail, or hospitality
  • While not mandatory, Spanish-speaking skills would be a strong advantage.
