Our busy Mad Mex outlet in Pacific Fair Shopping Centre on the Gold Coast needs an experienced Restaurant Manager.
Must have QSR experience + current RSA & Food Safety Supervisor certificates.



At Mad Mex, we love the food & culture of Mexico & are fighting to share that passion with our customers every day with every dish. Our secret is using only the freshest ingredients, authentic Mexican spices & marinades, low fat recipes and cooking techniques that deliver big bold flavours! 


Our outlet in Pacific Fair Shopping Centre needs a vibrant & enthusiastic Manager who is passionate about Mexican food and dedicated to providing outstanding customer service.



We are looking for someone with loads of energy who oozes enthusiasm and has a great passion for delivering high quality food & services. Ideally you will be an exceptional restaurant manager with experience in managing business operations in a shift work environment coupled with a proven track record of building and motivating a team, currently we have around 20 staff. Excellent communication and customer service skills are ESSENTIAL!


You MUST also have:

  • strong leadership ability, with experience developing & mentoring others
  • A1 interpersonal skills including the ability to build strong relationships
  • innovative problem solving skills & the ability to think outside the box
  • sound accounting knowledge in order to read and digest P&L statements
  • the ability to stay calm under pressure
  • Permanent residency or Australian citizenship



You will have complete operational and P&L accountability for this high turnover business. You will take ownership for all elements of your restaurant's performance and will be dedicated to building team spirit. Your duties are varied and will include:

  • championing Mad Mex vision & values, ensuring they are integral to everything we do
  • daily involvement in the service elements of the restaurant: opening & closing, ordering stock, forecasting & managing rosters, overseeing preparation & service, handling cash, maintaining equipment, etc.
  • Talent Management of your team - recruitment, training, mentoring, staff appraisals, performance management, etc.
  • complete P&L accountability & reporting
  • ensuring compliance with legislation and Mad Mex's policies & procedures
  • facilitating training for in-store staff
  • assisting with the development & maintenance of "mexucation"

You will have a franchisee working alongside you, as well as an operations manager and financial operations manager to assist you plus the helpful team at our Support Office in accounts and marketing, And of course your own team of passionate Luchadors!
